Ignite 2018 Keynote Speaker – Richard Rierson

Richard is the President & Founder of Dose of Leadership, LLC, a a top ranked business Podcast 7 radio show of over 350 inspiring interviews with leaders and personalities such as Steve Forbes, Shark Tank’s Barbara Corcoran and FedEx CEO Fred Smith. The podcast has been downloaded in over 196 countries across the globe and has recently been named a “Top Business Podcast” by Fortune, Business Insider, Entrepreneur, & INC Magazine.
Richard served ten years active duty as an Officer in the United States Marine Corps and ten years part-time with the Kansas Air National Guard & Air Force Reserve. He has accumulated over 8,500 flight hours as Captain/Aircraft Commander in multiple types of aircraft and is currently a Boeing 737 First Officer for American Airlines.
Through executive leadership coaching, training, and speaking, Richard loves helping professionals & organizations authentically communicate their brand, develop an authentic leadership presence, crush limiting beliefs, and overcome mediocrity.

For over ten years, Harold Lloyd served as President and CEO of a 14-unit retail organization and has been regarded as a market leader dedicated to superior customer relations. During his professional career, Harold has spent more than two decades working very closely with small and large businesses to provide qualified, executive-level assistance to companies. He has created 30 top-rated seminars and written 4 books. He has also created and proudly facilitates eight different share groups. Now, for more than 25 years, Harold has been providing educational seminars to develop better teams and leaders within the retail industry.
Harold Lloyd is known to inspire and challenge his audience to unlock their potential — in turn, this helps retailers propel store profits and improve operational efficiency. Since Ignite 2017, Harold has worked with several CATAPULT® retailers through in-store visits and consultations. Further, he actively facilitates the Harold Lloyd CATAPULT Share Group, a group that was born in-house at Ignite 2017.
Harold’s relationship with ECRS and CATAPULT retailers goes to show that Ignite isn’t just a three-day event, its an experience with an impact that will last a lifetime.
Ignite 2018 Workshop Leader & Breakout Speaker – Joy Nicholas

Joy is the Principal of JN Retail Connections, which leverages over 30 years of retail technology experience, grocery industry knowledge, trade association leadership, and key executive relationships to help clients navigate the grocery retail channel. She has been engaged in the food retail industry for more than 30 years. Her extensive network of grocery retail and CPG industry leaders gives her a 360° perspective of retail technology.
Joy served as the SVP/VP of business development for retail technology providers and VP of Research & Technology for the Food Marketing Institute (FMI), a leading US supermarket trade association. She was directly responsible for conducting industry research in areas such as retail technology, electronic payments (representing grocers on swipe fee initiatives), and industry standards. Other key responsibilities included supporting the CIO, CFO, and board-level committees.
Additional accomplishments include being the co-founder, former board member, scholarship committee chair, and active advocate for the Network of Executive Women. Joy was recently named one of the Top Women in Grocery in 2017 by Progressive Grocer.
Ignite 2018 Breakout Speaker – Angela Flatland
Midwest Senior Growth Manager | Progressive Grocer
Angela is a millennial grocery expert who grew up in the industry. She has more than a decade of experience working as a non-foods supplier to grocery, drug, and c-store retailers. Before the age of 15, she was already involved in her family’s business, Interstate Promotions. From 2006 until 2015, she worked with buyers and category managers on some of the largest retail chains in North America.
Having a passion for helping industry players stay competitive in the face of e-commerce, she expanded her experience into data analytics in 2015. She joined SwiftIQ, a data analytics start-up, as a business development executive. She secured their first grocery chain client and a $26.5B CPG client. From there, she transitioned into client success consulting, helping retailers utilize data in shopper marketing, shrinkage, distribution, and new retailer promotional programs.
Currently, she is the Midwest Senior Growth Manager at Progressive Grocer, the leading B2B media company and publication for the grocery industry. Angela is passionate about the industry and the brands that she works with.
