Going Green in Grocery: Bag Fees, e-Receipts, and Other Helpful Tips

Since 2014, eight states have banned single-use plastic bags. The state of Virginia recently passed a law allowing municipalities to choose whether they want to require stores to impose a bag tax on retail grocery, drug stores and big box stores.

Many retailers aspire to be more environmentally conscious but need ways to accomplish this goal without absorbing additional costs or impacting sales. In this session, we’ll dig into CATAPULT to highlight settings that empower retailers to “Go Green”. We’ll go over bag taxes and fees, e-receipts, and how you can leverage CATAPULT’s loyalty programs to incentivize shoppers to bring their own bags.
